September 3, 2025 — Tiananmen Square hosted a solemn observance of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japan and the World Anti-Fascist War. The Communist Party Committee of Huatai Yongchuang (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. (the HT Party Committee) and the Communist Party Committee of Anshan Huatai Huanneng Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. (the Anshan HT Party Committee) led all party members, development targets, and activists to watch the gathering’s live broadcast, bearing witness to a moment of solemn significance.

At 9:00 a.m., the military parade officially began. Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, Chinese President, and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, highlighted the profound historical significance of the War of Resistance Against Japan victory. He stressed that the great national spirit centered on patriotism was a decisive factor in the Chinese people’s victory and underscored the Party’s pivotal role as the backbone of the resistance.

Xi emphasized that the Chinese people will stand firmly on the right side of history and on the side of human progress, adhere to the path of peaceful development, and join hands with the rest of world to build a community with a shared future for humanity. He affirmed the People’s Liberation Army as a heroic force trusted by both the Party and the people, resolutely safeguarding national sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity. The country will unswervingly follow socialism with Chinese characteristics, carry forward the great wartime spirit, forge ahead with enterprise and fortitude, and striving in unity to build a modern socialist country in all respects and advance the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on all fronts.

This parade served not only as a remembrance of history but also as a demonstration of China’s national defense capabilities to the world. The troops passed Tian’anmen Square in a powerful, thunderous march, receiving the inspection of the nation and its people.

The army displayed disciplined bearing and precise, synchronized movements, reflecting a professional ethos characterized by strict obedience to the Party, readiness for combat, and exemplary conduct. The ground and air echelons showcased a range of modern systems, including new main battle tanks, laser weapons, drones, and information-enabled warfare units.

The finale featured the DF-61 and DF-5C strategic missiles, underscoring their role as strategic assets in safeguarding national sovereignty and dignity.

The wartime years of blood and fire have long passed, but history’s echoes still move the world.
